Callsign

A name for
your wallet.

Callsign registers names like mira.rh on Robinhood Chain. People send to the name, apps show it instead of 0x, and it is yours for good after one payment.

3 to 32 characters: a to z, 0 to 9 and hyphens.

What a name does.

A .rh name is an ERC-721 token. It points at an address, it can be that address's public name, and it carries four short text fields.

Send to a name

Type mira.rh where an app asks for an address. The registry answers with the address the owner chose, so nobody pastes a long hex string again.

Set a name as your primary and explorers, wallets and apps that read Callsign can show it in place of your address. It only counts while the name still points back at you.

Four optional records: X handle, website, avatar link and a short bio. Anyone can open callsign.appsmade.xyz/app/?n=mira to see them.

The price depends only on length. There is no yearly rent and no expiry, and the contract has no function to take a name back.

Two reads for any app.

Resolving a name or showing the name of an address is a single view call on one contract. No API, no key.

// name -> address
const to = await client.readContract({ address: CALLSIGN, abi, functionName: "resolve", args: ["mira.rh"] });

// address -> name ("" when it has none)
const name = await client.readContract({ address: CALLSIGN, abi, functionName: "nameFor", args: [account] });

Questions

What can a name contain?

3 to 32 characters from a to z, 0 to 9 and hyphens. It can't start or end with a hyphen or have two in a row. Capital letters are not accepted, so there are no look-alike duplicates.

What happens when I sell or send a name?

It starts pointing at the new holder. Your primary name drops off your address, because it no longer points back at you.

Where does the fee go?

Straight to the project treasury in the same transaction. The registry never holds ETH. The owner can only change the three prices, each capped at 0.05 ETH in the contract, and the treasury address.

Can I point a name at a different wallet?

Yes. The holder can point it at any address, for example a cold wallet, while keeping the name in another.

Is it audited?

No. The contract is short and its tests are public, but it has not had an external audit.
